The spread on the master right on the 3rd floor needs to be replaced....very lumpy and unattractive. We took it off and replaced it with a blanket for sleeping. Otherwise it was a fabulous house for our family group of 15, ages 8 to 80! All enjoyed both the ocean and pool as well as the many game and entertainment options.

The house was exceptional. It was very clean and comfortable. We have reserved it for next year already. A huge request to the owner, my husband and I had a problem getting in and out of the pool without a handrail. The tv room was perfect. The pool area and outside kitchen was wonderful.

This was our 5th year renting the Sanctuary and once again our stay was great. Many of the minor issues that we brought up after last years stay were addressed. Had an issue with the whirlpool which the office was quick to send someone out. Would highly recommend Beach Realty and the Sanctuary. Thanks for a great vacation.

It was our second year in the same house and we are booked for next year. Love the house and location but have given you a list of alot of little things that are being let go. The 2 major things are the clothes dryer on the 2nd floor and the whirlpool is starting to lose alot of tiles that dump into the swimming pool. The biggest complaint is that there is no bathroom at the pool level. A pain to get out, dry off and go upstairs. Don't get me wrong, we love the house, had a great time but hope they will take better care of the place. If you want to discuss any of this, I can be reached at. Thanks and have a great day

Despite arriving a day after the hurricane, we still had a good time. It is our third year in the house and we will return again next year. It works for us but there are alot of little things that should be addressed. Loose faucets, toilet paper holders hanging loose, toilets hard to flush, light fixtures hanging loose.

We rented the Sanctuary for our one year anniversary and family trip after having our wedding last year, and we had a wonderful time. The house is perfect for us! With such a large porch, our own pool, three living room spaces, everyone having their own bedroom and bathroom, the theater, such a roomy kitchen, plenty of seating at meals for everyone to eat truly is the most perfect house. We hope to be able to return again in the future!

Every fall for the last 10 years we do a week at the beach with a group of family and friends. The Sanctuary is one of the nicer and better equipped homes we've rented. Nice furnishings, lots of space to congregate. The upper deck area is well furnished and relaxing. We used the pool and hot tub just about every day. Especially enjoyed having the outdoor kitchen - perfect for bbq for a large group. Great spot!

This extremely accommodating home suited everyone of our needs. We have been vacationing in Garden City since 1995 and this by far is the best home we have rented. It has exceeded our expectations and we shall return next year. The office employee's were exceptional with kindness, consideration, and helpful with all concerns. The ocean views from the picture window was a sight to behold and the large swimming pool was like a breathe of fresh air. I can't forget the Theater room where we took in one movie while enjoying popcorn and soda!!! Thank Goodness for the elevator that accommodated my 81 year old Dad who can't climb steps the way he used to. Easy access to the beach made life easier. BUT, the breathe taking views from the home and the deck, why there is NOTHING to compare that to !!! I've only been home 4 days, yet still, the glistening waters, sunrises,sundowns, rising of the moon, sound of the waves, happy laughter, family games,each day full of sun,and God remaining in the midst will forever be in my heart. Unforgettable !

My family had a wonderful vacation the week of 3/19-26/18 at The Sanctuary. The temps were very cold so the hot tub couldn't hold heat (not much to do about that)...The house next to us was under construction, a lot of framing going on (we turned the music louder!) Our first night there was a storm which set the electronics haywire...called SC Beach Realty, they sent maintenance ASAP and he got us back the best he could (super patient man). When all said and done...we have a great family and can overcome. We'd gladly come back again. Desiree was very helpful and understanding to our needs..Thank you.

Words fail to describe the view! 17 of us all had all the room needed to spread out. The kitchen was amazing and so many of us could prepare meals together. The movie room was a big plus and the many games were fun for all.

We had some issues when we arrived at the house. The garbage disposal was leaking and did not get fixed until Wednesday. The two beds in the first floor bedroom were not usable all week. The air conditioning went out on the 2nd floor. But other than that, the house was great and fit all of our needs. It is in a great location. We got a lot of use out of the beautiful pool, which is where we spent most of our days.

This house was given a 10 out of 10 by the 12 gentleman that attend our annual golf week away. This is our 11th year of this event and we found the house well equipped in the kitchen, fast response to our request for a pool fridge replacement and general questions. Great beds and plenty of towels. Bathroom soap and shampoo along with a few dishwasher pucks would be a nice.

Awesome, pictures do not do it justice! We all have quiet time, reflection time then game time, and great dinners!! Movie night everything was great. Be careful with the elevator!

We had 8 couples staying at the house and with the size of the house would not have known 16 people were there. Everything about the house was great including the large TV (great to watch the football games on),the rooms, the large amount of outdoor seating, the pool, the various game tables and the great kitchen. Had a initial problem with the whirlpool and Beach Realty was great in correcting it quickly. Beach Reality also did a great job on the weather for us. The only negative to the whole trip was that there needs to be a bathroom at the pool level. Thanks for a great time and we have already booked again for next year.

We loved our week stay at this wonderful beach front house during the Pandemic! Hated to leave the beautiful ocean with it's gorgeous sunrises. Nothing better that waking up to a beautiful sight. We love cooking in the well equip kitchen and having dinner on the 2 large tables. Great house in the spring and fall with excellent prices. My only suggestion is to change the cable company so ALL TV's have boxes that work and a remote for each TV. All remotes must be counted for after each renter leaves!!!

We rented The Santuary during Christmas with several families to celebrate my mother's 80th birthday. Words can't describe this home. The décor, amenities, views, and overall layout of the home was amazing. The home has everything you could possibly want for every age.The theatre room was a favorite of everyone. Photos on the website do not do this home justice. The only negative comment I have is that we had to checkout! Thanks for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home and for all the special memories.

A beautiful spacious rental right on the beach. House was immaculately clean and well maintained. Close to shopping and a short ride to the airport. The only disappointment was the pool and hot tub.We learned that the pool could not be heated because it was too cold and although it was stated that the hot tub would be on it turned off when the temperature dropped below 55. Fun was had by all ages 4 to 82!

The house we originally had reserved had an issue with erosion so it was not safe to stay there. The realty company moved us to The Sanctuary and boy were we amazed at this home. It had everything and more. Thank you very very much!

Aptly named, The Sanctuary is truly a peaceful place of respite and protection from the onslaught of daily stresses and worldly worries. Our group found it to be a home of grandeur and elegance, yet at the same time a place of comfort, restoration, and great fun. It is difficult to imagine a place more enticing for cheerful camaraderie. There was plenty of room for our large group to be together or to wander off and find a favored nook for personal quiet time. Big Kudos to the owners, designers, and decorators; you built a gorgeous home and filled it with more amenities than we had time to even explore or enjoy. The Beach Realty ladies who are in charge of the rentals couldn’t possibly be more professional, helpful, pleasant, or accommodating. All of our party is heartily impressed with BR. They do business “the right way.” They expressed genuine concern for all our needs & desires. We DO hope to return and absolutely recommend this classy home to anyone who treasures a top quality vacation experience. There are a couple of items that our group would like to have brought to the owner’s attention. *All bathrooms are begging for places to hang towels, etc. Hooks would be a tremendously helpful. *Upon arrival, ALL the cushions on the main deck furniture were soaking wet & were a bit yucky. Our visit was in the cooler, later days of Oct., so we were not hanging around in wet swimsuits. Granted, our visit was after some record setting rains in SC, but we wonder if these cushions couldn’t have been protected & kept dry before our arrival? Many of these cushions were FULL of water & never dried out during our stay. Even the furniture below the cushions was wet. Given that the outdoor furniture on the main deck is large, heavy, & cumbersome, albeit beautiful, we all found ourselves pining for rocking chairs that we could move around. Would you consider adding rocking chairs? The 3 on the upstairs balcony are simply divine and lovely!Full review sent to Beach Realty.

The Sanctuary provided a wonderful location for our thirty-third family beach vacation. Loved having plenty of bedrooms with private bathrooms. The three living areas gave ample room for the working generation to work, the youngest generation to play, and the oldest generation to snooze. The recliners in the movie room were so comfortable that several naps were taken there also. The bathroom on the movie room floor can also be reached from the hallway. That was a bonus for the teenagers that didn't want to disturb their parents. Looking forward to next year!!!

What a great vacation and place to stay. All 7 families enjoyed every aspect of the house! I couldn't have imagined a better week! The house and property are beautiful and may be the nicest place I have ever stayed. With 14 adults and 7 kids in the house, we all enjoyed it with more than enough space in the house and outside! We had a few minor issues when there, but the management company was very quick to fix things and they were very professional.

Great week, great house. We have been going to Garden City for years and staying in similar type homes and The Sanctuary was the best we have stayed in. Lots of space, great amenities, huge pool, etc etc.

Only two small improvements we could find if being picky. One, the outdoor shower does not drain well at all. It renders the shower almost useless.

Two, as the house is right along side the beach access, it would be nice to have more of a solid privacy fence or additional plantings along the existing fence so that everyone walking to the beach on the beach access walk can't just look in and have a clear view of everything going on in the pool.

Again, these are very minor issues as overall our large family was very pleased with the home.

I am the Owner of a Child Care Center in Columbia S.C. we have been in business for two years. Both years we have stayed in Garden City our first year was at Key Lime Pie and this year we stayed at the Sanctuary. Both homes were more than we expected my staff didn't want to come home. My only complaint with the Sanctuary was not enough pots and pans and the knives should have been shaper. The rooms, the view and the space was WONDERFUL. I left this home telling my family I needed and wanted to build a home with this same design in Columbia. Choosing the Sanctuary this year for our retreat was the Chose! I will highly recommend this home to everyone.

Just a couple of weeks after the huge storm/hurricane Matthew hit the East coast and dealt a huge blow to Myrtle, Surfside, and Garden City Beach (and so many other East Coast areas), this magnificent home was set to rights and made ready for another magical visit for our beloved group of friends. The Sanctuary truly lives up to its name in every conceivable way. It is a gorgeous house that is incomparable in amenities, comfort, and spaciousness. It is perfectly located at GCB, away from traffic and crowds. It is a luxurious haven where relaxation and restoration are compulsory. We were most impressed that after such an incredibly devastating storm, this home was sparkling clean, and would have passed any ‘white-glove test.’ The pool, hot tub, movie theatre, massive kitchen, and oceanfront outdoor lounging spaces, all provided the best of times for our camaraderie, reunion, and renewal of spirits. Highly recommend this property!!!! Beach Realty folks are the Best also!

"The Sanctuary" was a wonderful place for our family reunion. The eight bedroom, eight and a half bathroom property was ideal for privacy and convenience. The kitchen is large with plenty of room to cook for a large group, as well as the living area and decks. There is also lots of places to slip off for some quiet time alone. My family enjoyed the media room with the giant screen for movies and football games, and also the large flat screen TV in the living room for different football games. This house has everything we could possibly want or need. We liked it so much we reserved it for next years reunion before we even left the area. Desiree could not have been more helpful with our reservation and needs. She was professional, courteous, kind and helpful. Thank you Desiree!!!

The house was beautiful, there were 16 people and there was plenty of room. The Property management company was great, we had to call on a few items and they were there in a timely manner, the only thing I can say bad was the hot tub jets were not working but the water was hot. Called the management they came out and told us they had to order a part. However that did not hinder our fun. Can't wait for next year already counting the days to return

Unbelievable house! 8 guys on a golf trip, with own bedroom and bath. Beautiful views, hot tub for aching backs, top notch kitchen, large TV screen for sports, great music from iPhone in each room, pool table and a movie theater that I was able to use my amazon fire stick to stream in sports and comedians. Perfect house for a golf trip!!
